Day Two - Miami Trip
Published On: Dec 11, 2006

Begin day two with a relaxing ocean swim. The beach is so serene during the morning hours. Afterwards, set up a spa session at La Maison des Beaute Carita. Here you can choose from a variety of soothing massages or the signature "SoBe Soak," which includes a hydrotherapy rub with lemony oils.

For breakfast, The News Café, with its sizeable ocean view patio, serves up some delicious egg dishes. If you'd rather venture away from the touristy scene, the locals choose the Front Porch. If you're looking to grab something quick, David's Café 2 offers Cuban toast and the ever-popular café cubano. Then there's always the best French bakery in all of South Beach - La Provence. Try their croissants and you will be delighted.

Explore Miami's National Parks
The Everglades and Biscayne National Park offer a wealth of beauty to discover and activities to partake in. The Everglades wetlands, heralded as one of America's most beguiling ecosystems, encompass over 1 million acres. There are a couple of adventure tours that lead you through the swamp for a closer look at the flora and unique wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for lurking gators - they're out there. Biscayne National Park has a phenomenal realm for scuba and snorkeling. Its underwater tropical reef stretches for over 180,000 acres. If you're still searching for something more active, a variety of places rent kayaks, jet skis and water skis.

Dining in Coral Gables
Come nightfall, take a visit to the historic Coral Gables. Established in 1920, this gorgeous upscale city features magnificent Spanish-Mediterranean architecture along with a vast selection of great restaurants. A few tasty Latin restaurants include Chispa's and Ortanique, but Norman's, the premiere restaurant for New World cuisine, is by far the most talked about.

Nightlife
In case you haven't heard, the nightlife is one of Miami's greatest allures. If you're looking for a few post-din drinks, the Biltmore Hotel is a superb choice. If anything, check out the immensity of the swimming pool. If you're itching to hit the clubs, then Washington Ave in South Beach is the spot to do so. Each club caters to various interest and styles. Check local periodicals to get the scoop on your type of scene.
