Falls Shopping Center

Miami has many unique areas of town, shopping centers and tourist attractions that are not found anywhere else in the country and that is one of our largest draws for people to visit. With our balmy tropical weather, many outdoor activities are only available in South Florida.

The Falls Shopping Center is one of those places. The Layout of the Falls is designed around the weather in Miami. There is no mall or Shops to match it in all of South Florida. To see Miami as a local you must include a trip to the Falls Shopping Center.

When the Falls Shopping Center opened back in the late seventies there was nothing like it in Miami. The anchor stores of Macy's and Bloomingdales were only part of the attraction. With a million gallon flowing waterscape and tropical foliage as the center of the stores it was a sight to see. Rustic wood buildings and a wooden walkway added to the beauty of the Falls Shopping Center.

On opening day you walked down crowded wooden sidewalks with people looking at the gentle waterfalls and pools that make up the waterscape. The plant life was not overly crowded and added to the beauty of the mall. Everything was done tastefully and is very pleasant to look at.

The Falls Shopping Center also brought some of the high-end stores that previously you had to travel up to the north end of the city to find. Besides the anchor stores you also have Banana Republic, Bombay Company and the Disney Store.

Over the years the shopping center has made some additions and changes. For one they added a large movie theater. With the addition of the United Artists Theater with its 13 screens, the movies have helped the shops stay alive. With the waterscape, the variety of shops and the wide selection of restaurants, The Falls Shopping Center is you perfect day out destination.

The Falls offers something for everyone. The Shops are full of stores that cater to the needs of our women shoppers, with many accessory stores for that one of a kind purchase that makes you unique. Accessories from European designers as well as our own American designers give you the choices that you are looking for.

There is also a wide selection of designer clothing stores for your clothing needs. You can go to Ann Taylor and purchase a new dress or outfit and then head over to Nine West for the perfect matching shoes. With a new outfit comes a new purse. You can head over just a few stores down to the Coach store for your new purse that will bring your new ensemble together.

The Bombay Company is a great place to find furniture made from hardwoods in a traditional style. Antique style furnishings that add that classic style to any home can be found there.

With over one hundred shops you are sure to find almost anything that you are looking for. The Falls Shopping Center also has a wide selection of restaurants, from the elegance of P.F Chang's China Bistro to the always fun TGI Fridays.

The developers of the Falls Shopping Center went out of their way to make sure that you enjoy the full shopping experience. Make time to visit the Falls Shopping Center and enjoy a leisurely walk around the waterscape while doing some window shopping and a nice dinner, or get ready for some hard core shopping. Whatever your needs are the Falls Shopping Center is there for you.
