Established in 1917, North Miami Beach is one of Miami's oldest communities. It portrays a vintage authenticity that not only represents Miami from decades ago, but how much it has evolved into the spectacular city that it is today.
Much of North Miami Beach is residential and business-oriented, yet its still has its allure to visitors. If you're looking to get a little exercise then Reynolds Park offers a 9-hole golf course and the Oleta State Recreation Area has a picnic area. For architecture buffs, there's an Ancient Spanish Monastery circa 1141. In the mid-1950's, the monastery was brought to the U.S. in sections. The greatest allure though just may be the arts.
Museums & Theatres
Focused on showcasing inventive exhibitions of modern times, the Museum of Contemporary Art - North Miami is always an educational and inspirational experience. On the last Friday of each month, the stellar sounds of Jazz fill the air in a monthly concert series. For a unique dance experience the Ballet Flamenco La Rosa is just the spot. Set up a lesson if you're feeling real ambitious. See remarkable multicultural performances at the North Miami Beach Julius Littman Performing Arts Theatre.
Fine Dining
If you're a sushi fan, try the charming and eloquent Sushi House on Biscayne Blvd. If you'd rather have some unique American cuisine, North One10 has some of the areas best.
